Garmin WastedLocker ransomware causes multi-day global service outage

On 23/07/2020, GARMIN shut down multiple services, including Garmin Connect and customer support, following a ransomware attack that encrypted some systems. The outage disrupted device synchronization and aviation services (flyGarmin) and led to temporary suspension of some manufacturing operations. Recovery progressed by 27/07/2020.
