Beginning 18/09/2023, AUCKLAND TRANSPORT reported a cyber incident disrupting HOP ticketing services, online top‑ups, some ticketing machines, and customer service centers. The MEDUSA ransomware group claimed responsibility and demanded $1M. On 29/09/2023, AT reported a suspected DDoS attack causing intermittent outages to its website, mobile app, parking, journey planner, and public information systems.
