COPPEL cyberattack knocks ecommerce offline; 3‑month recovery

On 20/04/2024, COPPEL disclosed a cybersecurity incident that took its online store offline and affected IT systems. In September, the CIO said the attack limited at least 9,500 business services and affected operations at 1,800 stores nationwide, with full restoration taking roughly three months. Media attributed the incident to LOCKBIT.
