Cyberattack disrupts PDVSA crude export operations

In mid-December 2025, PETROLEOS DE VENEZUELA (PDVSA) suffered a cyberattack impacting centralized administrative systems, which disrupted systems used to coordinate oil cargo deliveries. Facilities were isolated from the central network and terminals resorted to manual procedures, suspending scheduled loadings for several days. By 17/12/2025, PDVSA and sources reported cargo loadings had resumed while isolation and manual processes continued.
