HIVE ransomware disrupts Costa Rica’s CCSS healthcare services

On 31/05/2022, the Caja Costarricense de Seguro Social (CCSS) suffered a HIVE ransomware attack. CCSS shut down critical IT systems (including EDUS) and hospitals shifted to paper records while contingency measures were implemented, disrupting appointments and some services.
