Ransomware attack disrupts Chile’s SERNAC consumer agency
On 25/08/2022, Chile’s SERNAC disclosed a ransomware incident that encrypted Microsoft and VMware ESXi servers, disrupting systems and taking online services offline. Chile’s CSIRT issued an alert to government entities, and citizens were directed to file complaints via call center or in person while restoration proceeded.
