On 23/03/2022, the City of Saumur and the Communauté d’Agglomération Saumur Val de Loire reported a cyberattack that rendered many servers, software and parts of the network unavailable under security protocols. Both entities filed complaints and engaged ANSSI and CAPGEMINI. Officials later reported that all servers had been encrypted and recovery efforts cost about €200,000; most systems were restored months later.
