Ransomware at Colombia’s INVIMA disables platforms, delaying trade procedures

On 06/02/2022, INVIMA suffered a cyberattack that made its website, email and institutional applications unavailable. Official resolutions document the unavailability from that date, while independent reporting attributes the attack to BlackByte ransomware. The outage impeded processing of export/import certificates and other regulatory procedures, causing trade delays until restoration.
