Cyberattack disrupts Northern Ireland C2k school network

A cyberattack against Northern Ireland's centralized C2k school network made services unavailable beginning on 3 April 2026, disrupting access for pupils and staff. The Education Authority initiated a full password reset and staged restoration; by 17 April more than 414,000 accounts had been reconnected and most systems were available, while a small number of specifically targeted schools were still receiving support.
