Large-scale DDoS attacks against Threema and an infrastructure partner caused temporary unavailability, partial availability and delayed or failed message delivery beginning on 11 August 2026. Threema Work business customers were specifically warned of unstable service conditions, while independently hosted Threema On-Prem deployments were not affected.
