On 31 December 2024, Mizuho Bank experienced a DDoS-related surge of external traffic that made Mizuho Direct and related online services intermittently difficult to access between approximately 07:00 and 10:00. Mizuho reported no customer-information leakage or malware infection associated with the incident.
