Cyberattack halts education at Eindhoven University of Technology

Eindhoven University of Technology detected a network intrusion on 11 January 2025 and disconnected its network to contain the attack. The shutdown made university systems inaccessible, forced cancellation of teaching activities and postponed examinations. Education resumed on 20 January after approximately a week of disruption, with the academic calendar shifted to accommodate postponed examinations.
