Palau health ministry ransomware disrupts Belau National Hospital

On 17 February 2025, ransomware actors connected to Qilin compromised IT systems used by Palau's Ministry of Health and Human Services and stole files. The ministry confirmed that the incident disrupted operations at Belau National Hospital and caused service delays while the hospital remained open. Staff implemented mitigation measures, and officials said hospital operations returned to normal within 48 hours. Qilin attribution was reported by Palau officials rather than based solely on the group's own claim.
