Japan Airlines denial-of-service attack delays flights and suspends ticket sales

Japan Airlines suffered a data-flooding denial-of-service attack on December 26, 2024 that disrupted internal and external network systems. The airline temporarily suspended same-day domestic and international ticket sales and reported delays affecting domestic and international flights; AP reported 24 domestic flights delayed by more than 30 minutes. Systems were restored within hours, and JAL said customer data and flight safety were not compromised.
