Hoboken ransomware shuts City Hall and suspends online municipal services

The City of Hoboken confirmed that it was hit by ransomware on 27 November 2024. The attack forced City Hall to close, suspended all online city services, cancelled municipal court and street sweeping, and required temporary relocation of some court and police-related business. Waste collection and recreation programs continued normally, so the impact was material but not a complete shutdown of municipal operations.
