Radiant Capital exploit drains about $50 million and halts lending markets

On 16 October 2024, attackers compromised devices used by multiple Radiant Capital core contributors through malware and caused malicious transactions to be signed while the Safe{Wallet} interface displayed benign transaction data. The attackers hijacked control of lending contracts and drained about USD 50 million. Radiant paused lending markets, directly interrupting its core borrowing and lending service while incident response and remediation proceeded.
