The City of Germantown, Tennessee reported a malicious cybersecurity incident on 02/02/2024. The city intentionally took many systems offline as part of containment, and numerous municipal telephone lines became unavailable, forcing residents to use alternate channels for non-emergency public-safety services. Emergency 911 operations remained available.
