Ransomware halts production across Duvel Moortgat breweries

Duvel Moortgat detected ransomware during the early hours of 6 March 2024 and shut down servers as a containment measure. Production stopped across its Belgian breweries, and company-confirmed reporting also identified the Kansas City operation in the United States as affected. Production at the main Breendonk brewery resumed the following day while other sites were restored progressively. Stormous and later Black Basta separately claimed involvement and data theft, but those actor attributions were not confirmed by Duvel Moortgat.
