Ransomware at McLaren Health Care disrupts clinical services across Michigan
A ransomware attack disrupted McLaren Health Care's IT and phone systems beginning 6 August 2024. During the outage, staff used downtime procedures and manual charting, some ambulances were diverted for certain conditions, and non-emergency appointments, tests and treatments were delayed or rescheduled. McLaren reported full clinical and administrative functionality restored on 26 August.
