Cyberattack on CDEK suspends parcel shipments and disrupts delivery operations

A cyberattack disrupted Russian delivery company CDEK for several days in late May 2024. Its website and mobile application stopped functioning and the company suspended parcel shipments to avoid errors from manual processing, creating direct logistics and delivery disruption. Russian officials attributed the disruption to a cyberattack. Head Mare claimed that it encrypted CDEK servers and destroyed backups, but CDEK itself described the event publicly as a massive technical failure and did not confirm the group's ransomware claim.
