Ransomware takes Tyler Technologies STAR cloud environment offline

Tyler Technologies discovered unauthorized activity in an isolated private-cloud segment hosting the STAR securities-registration system used by the District of Columbia Department of Insurance, Securities and Banking. Tyler took the environment offline; its investigation found the system had been encrypted and data acquired by the attacker, interrupting client access while restoration proceeded. LockBit claimed responsibility and released data, but Tyler did not publicly confirm that attribution.
