Cyberattack closes London Drugs stores and constrains pharmacy services

London Drugs closed all of its stores across Western Canada after detecting a cybersecurity incident on 28 April 2024. Store systems and phone access were disrupted, and some pharmacy customers could not fill new prescriptions; all stores reopened by 7 May. London Drugs later confirmed corporate-office files had been exfiltrated and an extortion demand made. LockBit claimed responsibility, but the company did not publicly confirm that attribution.
