Pensacola ransomware disrupted phones, payments and city services

Pensacola detected and stopped a ransomware attack on March 16 after an unauthorized third party accessed city systems. The city disconnected computers to contain the incident; permitting, landlines and email required restoration, while Pensacola Energy and Sanitation online payments remained unavailable through at least March 27 even after phone systems were restored.
