DDoS attack disrupted University of Cambridge network and learning services

A distributed denial-of-service attack beginning on 19 February 2024 made University of Cambridge internet access intermittent and affected incoming websites, VPN access and student systems including Moodle and CamSIS. Network disruption was largely over by the morning of 20 February, although some systems remained affected. Anonymous Sudan claimed responsibility; that claim is treated as attribution by the actor rather than independent proof.
