Kempten University cyberattack disabled email and multiple academic IT services

On 27 February 2024, attackers gained access to parts of Kempten University's IT infrastructure. The university blocked access to several systems and shut down broad parts of its IT environment as a security measure; email, Moodle, Zoom, evasys and off-campus access to electronic library resources became unavailable. The university stated that the 18 March semester start was not endangered.
