Infosys McCamish Systems experienced unauthorized activity beginning on 29/10/2023 that culminated in ransomware encryption and the unavailability of applications and systems used to service financial-sector customers. Retirement and insurance providers experienced platform outages and resorted to manual or paper processes while systems were recovered. Infosys later reported that the affected environment was substantially restored by the end of December and recorded approximately USD 38 million in lost contracted revenues and incident-related remediation, restoration and communication costs.
