Mackay Sugar cyber incident halts milling and cane haulage

Mackay Sugar detected unauthorized external access on 10 June 2026 and shut down affected enterprise and logistics systems. The incident suspended harvesting, cane-rail haulage and crushing at the Farleigh and Racecourse mills. Harvesting, cane rail and Farleigh crushing began resuming on 18 June, while all three mills were operational by 26 June. The Gentlemen later self-claimed the attack, but Mackay Sugar did not confirm the attribution or claimed data theft.
