Drancy ransomware disrupts municipal service delivery

A ransomware incident detected in early July forced Drancy to stop municipal IT servers. The outage impaired telephony, software and internet access and made functions such as supplier payments, municipal billing and permit processing difficult or unavailable; several online procedures reverted to paper. Qilin later claimed responsibility, but the municipality did not confirm the attribution.
