Cyberattack closes HIT casinos and degrades hotel operations

HIT detected a cybersecurity incident on 25 August 2026 that involved unauthorized access to its information systems. The incident made the company's casinos unable to operate and forced hotels to operate on a limited basis. Casino infrastructure was progressively restored from 28 August, initially with reduced gaming functionality. No responsible actor or ransomware mechanism has been confirmed.
