DCHA cybersecurity incident degrades housing services

The District of Columbia Housing Authority discovered a cybersecurity incident on 28 June 2026 and shut down its network environment. Customer-facing operations were degraded during recovery, including slower customer service and phased computer access, with normal operations across departments scheduled to resume on 20 July. DCHA also confirmed compromise of a limited subset of sensitive data. Interlock self-claimed the attack, but DCHA did not validate the attribution or the group's claimed theft volume.
