Ransomware forces manual cargo-management procedures at Port of Vigo

On 24/03/2026, a ransomware attack affected the Autoridad Portuaria de Vigo's servers and digital services. The port isolated its systems to contain the attack, interrupting digital access used for cargo-traffic management and forcing port users, inspection services and freight-related workflows to operate temporarily with paper, email and other manual procedures. Physical vessel and cargo operations continued, so the supported TRACE consequence is degradation of digital logistics coordination and business processes rather than a shutdown of port transportation.
