Cyberattack disrupts Karl Auto Group dealership systems

Karl Auto Group discovered on 4 April 2026 that an unauthorized third party had accessed computer systems used in its business operations; the company later said access had begun before 27 March. Incident-specific reporting documented unavailable phones and computers across dealership operations while locations remained open and customers were directed to alternative communication channels. RansomHouse separately claimed Karl Chevrolet and alleged encryption, but Karl Auto Group did not confirm ransomware or the attribution.
