Cyberattack disrupts Northern Ireland C2k school IT services

Northern Ireland's Education Authority reported a cyberattack on the C2k school network on 2 April 2026. Access to school IT services was disrupted across the education system while the authority investigated targeted access to confidential personal information. By 17 April more than 414,000 user accounts had been reconnected and most systems restored, though some work remained.
