Ransomware disrupts Jackpot Junction Casino and tribal services

A cyber incident identified at Jackpot Junction Casino Hotel on 27 March 2025 involved unauthorized access and was publicly described by the Lower Sioux community as a ransomware event. Systems were taken offline, disrupting casino gaming and guest functions and affecting connected tribal health and government communications. Casino services were progressively restored, with major gaming functions returning in April.
