Hackers remotely manipulate Breivika Eiendom dam controls

On 7 April 2025, attackers gained remote access to the control interface of a dam owned by Breivika Eiendom in Bremanger, Norway, and opened a water outlet, increasing discharge by about 500 liters per second for roughly four hours. Norwegian authorities later attributed the operation to pro-Russian actors and linked it to Z-Pentest Alliance. The manipulation did not cause reported injuries or structural damage but constituted a direct cyber-physical disruption of dam control equipment.
