DDoS attack causes network-wide AirNet outage in Saint Petersburg

On 31 July 2025, Saint Petersburg internet provider AirNet reported a large DDoS attack that caused a network-wide failure. The provider said specialists were restoring service and filtering malicious traffic; service later resumed with some resources still potentially unavailable because of filtering. AirNet attributed the attack to IT ARMY OF UKRAINE, but that attribution is based on the provider's statement rather than independent confirmation.
