DDoS attack on ASVT disrupts internet service across Moscow

A major DDoS attack against Russian internet provider ASVT began on 27 May 2025 and caused severe connectivity disruption for tens of thousands of customers in Moscow and nearby areas. Cloudflare observed ASVT traffic falling to near zero during the incident, while customer reports described failures affecting remote work, card terminals and internet-dependent building systems. ASVT attributed the attack to the IT Army of Ukraine, although the group had not publicly claimed responsibility.
