Kettering Health cyberattack disrupts patient care and system-wide operations

Kettering Health detected unauthorized network access on 20 May 2025, triggering a system-wide technology outage. Elective inpatient and outpatient procedures were canceled, call-center and office phone services became unavailable, some appointments requiring IT systems were rescheduled, and emergency departments operated under diversion until recovery progressed. Kettering Health later assessed that the incident was linked to the Interlock ransomware group and reported normal operation of major services by 10 June.
