Major intrusion cripples Service public de Wallonie digital administration

A major intrusion into the Service public de Wallonie environment led authorities on 17 April 2025 to disconnect the administration from the internet. A Walloon government decree states that all applications managed by SPW for its daily missions were affected and most were completely stopped. Digital procedures, websites and administrative workflows were restored gradually over subsequent months, and statutory deadlines were extended because of the disruption.
