Hauts-de-Seine cyberattack causes prolonged disruption to social-service processing

A large-scale cyberattack against the Département des Hauts-de-Seine in May 2025 forced broad IT-network isolation. Although the department initially maintained many public-facing services through continuity measures, specific processes suffered major downstream effects: automated exchanges for the MDPH were suspended and handled manually, while IT tools supporting the 45,000-user Améthyste transport-assistance program were described by the department as paralyzed and recovered only gradually.
