Cyberattack disrupts Oregon DEQ vehicle inspection and public services

The Oregon Department of Environmental Quality detected a cyberattack on 9 April 2025 and shut down network systems in response. The incident closed vehicle inspection stations temporarily, interrupted email and online services, delayed public-facing processes and required extensions or rescheduling of regulatory activities while systems were restored.
