Cyberattack suspends flight handling operations at Split Airport

A cyberattack against Split Airport's passenger-handling information system on 22 July 2024 prevented normal reception and dispatch of aircraft and passengers. Flight operations were suspended and passengers were stranded until manual procedures enabled operations to resume. Croatian officials said the attackers also issued a ransom demand and identified the attack with the Akira group.
