Cyberattack closes all eight Jefferson County Clerk branches

A cyberattack discovered on 22 July 2024 disrupted the Jefferson County Clerk's systems and forced all eight Louisville-area branches to close for several days. Residents could not obtain vehicle registrations, property-recording services, marriage licenses and other clerk services until systems were progressively restored.
