Ransomware halts Kantsu logistics and shipping operations

Kantsu detected ransomware on September 12 after unauthorized access to its servers, shutting internal systems and communications and halting shipping operations. Inventory work had to be performed manually, more than 500 customer companies were affected, and downstream customers reported suspended online-shop fulfillment and shipping delays. A later executive retrospective reported total losses of about US$11.1 million.
