ChipSoft ransomware disrupts hosted healthcare services
ChipSoft detected abnormal activity on 7 April 2026 and confirmed a ransomware incident. From 8 April it disconnected hosted Zorgportaal, Zorgplatform, HiX Mobile and related services while investigating and restoring systems, interrupting patient portals, data exchange and connected digital healthcare functions for Dutch customers. ChipSoft also confirmed theft of personal and medical data from some healthcare institutions. Patient care and core HiX use continued through contingency arrangements.
