Cyber incident disrupts Milford municipal services and utility billing
The Town of Milford disclosed unauthorized activity affecting municipal computer systems beginning 15 July 2026. Phone and internet disruption affected town buildings, the water-utilities billing office closed, online payments became unavailable, the town clerk lost access to state systems and some public services operated through backup procedures with delays. Several systems remained offline on 22 July while forensic analysis continued.
