On January 17, 2024, a distributed denial-of-service attack temporarily made several Swiss Federal Administration department and office websites unavailable. The Swiss National Cyber Security Centre confirmed that the incident affected public access to government websites and that specialists implemented measures to restore availability. The central government portal remained operational. The pro-Russian NoName group publicly claimed responsibility, citing political developments surrounding the World Economic Forum in Davos.
