Cyberattack on Tureby-Alkestrup waterworks bursts pipes and interrupts water supply

In December 2024 attackers remotely manipulated pumping controls at Tureby-Alkestrup waterworks, causing pipe ruptures and interruptions to water supply; about 50 households lost service for roughly seven hours and another 450 for about one hour. Danish defence intelligence subsequently attributed the destructive attack to the Russia-linked Z-Pentest group. The day is an approximation, not a confirmed timestamp.
