Orange Spain RIPE account compromise causes internet connectivity outages
On 3 January 2024 an attacker used unauthorized access to Orange Spain’s RIPE account to change routing-related records, interrupting internet connectivity for some Spanish customers. Orange acknowledged impaired navigation and reported that most service had been restored later the same day.
