Clackamas Community College cyberattack cancels classes and disables essential campus systems

An intrusion into Clackamas Community College's network began on January 18, 2024, and continued into January 19. The institution isolated affected servers, after which campus Wi-Fi, voicemail, printing, payroll access and authentication-dependent online learning systems became unavailable or impaired. Both online and in-person classes were canceled through at least January 23, interrupting educational service delivery. College IT leadership suspected ransomware during the initial response, but the mechanism was not conclusively established in the recovered evidence.
